It's been a wonderful, spectacular two weeks in Room 21! In social studies, we started learning about the four geographic regions of California and made salt dough maps to display each region. We completed our fall art projects and they are now hanging beautifully on the wall. Our Global Read Aloud is starting to come to an end as we finished reading the book this week. We will continue some work with the book next week. Also, we logged into a Google Video Chat with the author of the Global Read Aloud Book. Sharon Draper answered questions submitted by students all over the world. Our own students submitted some questions via Twitter. Our first book reports were due this week and some of the students have gotten to deliver their wonderful speeches. The dioramas are beautiful and so creative! In math, we're learning strategies to help us with double digit by single digit multiplication. Our amazing Project Cornerstone parents came to visit and read our book for the month - Simon's Hook. We completed our science unit, Sun, Moon and Stars and are currently writing five paragraph essays describing our learning from the unit. In library, we learned how to use the new card catalog system. We continued to work on our KidBlogs. We're starting to connect with students in Australia that we will be Skyping with next week!

* More images to hopefully come later. The pictures are being rebellious and rotating any way they please... I'm working on a fix.
