We had another great visit from our Project Cornerstone parents. They read the book, Nobody Knew What to Do. From the book, we learned about bullying and what to do if we see a friend getting bullied. Yesterday, we went to the Tech Museum! We enjoyed making hover crafts, experiencing earthquakes, playing with light, looking at jellyfish DNA, the jetpack simulator, making our own robot and dressing it up, and much more. It was so much fun! This morning, we had PE in the MP room due to rain. Our make-up PE was canceled this afternoon because of the rain, so we enjoyed a game of heads up seven up. For science, we finished working on our colors of light pictures. We also started learning about matter. We learned there are three forms of matter; solid, liquid and gas. In language arts, we worked on Day 6 which was about Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream Speech." We looked at the speech this week and broke into partners to determine his main ideas. Finally, on Friday, we had our book clubs and quiz. In math, we completed the first section of division and took a unit test today. Mrs. Winn accidentally printed the answers on the test. She was very quick to fix the problem and our test went off with out a hitch! On Monday, we had music class. We celebrated Chinese New Year by doing the Dragon Dance. It rained today, so we were stuck inside all day. Here's hoping we can play outside next week!
