What a cold but fun week we've had! In math, we completed our math patterns using pattern block stickers. We also wrote our multiplication equations to prove the value of our patterns. In art class, we made pictures of a rainy day. Mrs. V was teaching us how to show movement in our art. We formatted our Sun, Moon and Stars essay. They're almost ready for you to see at Open House (yes, we know it's four months away!). Speaking of typing, we started typing our Charlotte's Web Diary entries. We started an art project to go with our Sun, Moon and Stars essays. First, we watercolored papers using warm and cool colors. The next day, we splattered white paint on black paper. Next week, we'll put the two together to make a beautiful masterpiece! In writing, we started learning about how to write a main event. We're looking at the balance between action, description and dialogue in a good main event. We all finally finished our California Regions projects. They are now all recorded as videos. You'll also be able to see these videos at Open House! Our wonderful Project Cornerstone parents came to visit. They read the book Say Something to us. We learned to say something if you see someone being bullied. We should be upstanders instead of bystanders. In Language Arts we started a new section of Charlotte's Web. Next week we will finish the book! Now we're off to Friday Free Play!
